This is a nicely detailed illustration by famed American artist FREDERIC SACKRIDER REMINGTON (1861-1909) printed on an original and authentic, 119-year-old page (Page 851) that has been carefully removed from SOME AMERICAN RIDERS, an article from Volume 82 Number 492 in the May 1891 issue of HARPER’S NEW MONTHLY MAGAZINE.
The caption reads: AN OLD-TIME NORTHERN PALINS INDIAN – THE COUP.
The print depict a PLAINS NATIVE AMERICAN COUNTING COUP on an enemy warrior.
The print measures approximately 6.75 x 4.75 inches. The page the print is on measures approximately 9.5 x 6.5 inches.
CONDITION:
The print is clean and in fine condition, with light age toning and very good to fine details.
