InformationThis original engraving is printed on heavy grade paper and is, in general, in good condition with some inherent ageing and strong plate marks present-please see supersize image. Printed on one side only the engraving measures 9inches x 9.5inches approx. (24cms x 24cms. approx.). One of the premiere works of Pacific voyages published, giving an account of English voyages of the 1760s and of Cook’s first voyage. The accounts are among the most famous in the history of exploration: Wallis’ voyage to Tahiti and the voyages of Cook to New Zealand, Tahiti and Australia. A rare and important addition to your print collection and ideal for framing.
