Frederic Remington, an American artist (1861-1909) considered to be the greatest illustrator of the Old American West.
I am offering two individual antique Collier prints. They are both night scenes, called ‘nocturnes’, a painting style he has well known for. Remington had a fascination with painting the color of night, and as you can see, he did it remarkably well. *Please remember to look at my other items and check out the second Remington print *
In 1903 a contract between Frederic Remington and Collier’s Magazine was made. Under this agreement, Remington would create and retain original oil paintings and sell the reproduction rights to Collier’s.
